There are moments in the life of a small independent restaurant that feel genuinely life-changing — and for us at Ju Ju’s, winning the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2025 is one of them. This is actually the fifth time we’ve received this award — and each year it keeps getting better! To be recognised in the top 10% of restaurants in the world is an honour we never could have imagined when we first opened our cosy little spot near Brindley Place, right by Broad Street, the Utilita Arena, The REP, and The Crescent Theatre. What started as a family-run passion project for serving honest, generous plates of comfort food has grown into a Birmingham favourite for locals, theatre-goers, brunch lovers, and travellers looking for a real taste of home.

This award means the world to us because it’s based entirely on guest reviews — real people, real meals, real moments shared around our tables. So this celebration is as much yours as it is ours.

Birmingham’s Home of Comfort Food

At Ju Ju’s, we’ve always believed that food tastes better when it feels like home. That’s why we’ve become known across Birmingham for hearty dishes, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere whether you’re joining us for a slow weekend brunch or popping in for a hot, satisfying bite before a night out.

Our menu has grown and evolved over the years, but our ethos hasn’t changed: simple ingredients, cooked well, served with love. From our famous gravy-rich dishes to fresh seasonal specials, everything we make is designed to leave you feeling looked after.

The Best Sunday Roast in Birmingham? Our Guests Think So

One of the biggest reasons people find us — and come back again and again — is our Sunday roast. Week after week, families, friends, and roast-obsessed foodies gather around our tables for towering plates of tender meats, golden Yorkshire puddings, mountains of veg and potatoes, and of course, lashings of our signature gravy.

For many guests, Ju Ju’s has become their go-to spot for a Sunday roast after a stroll along the canal, or before heading into the city centre for a show. Getting mentioned in countless reviews as “the best Sunday roast in Birmingham” is something we’ll always be proud of, and this award only reflects the love people have for it.

Brunch for the Birmingham Foodies

Though our roast gets a lot of attention, our brunch menu has just as loyal a following. From hearty classics to creative comfort dishes, brunch at Ju Ju’s blends that lazy Sunday feeling with flavours that hit just right. It’s the perfect stop before exploring Brindley Place, visiting the galleries and theatres, or meeting up with friends ahead of a big day in the city.

Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, brunch at Ju Ju’s always feels like a treat — and it’s often where new visitors first discover us.

Perfect for Pre-Theatre Dinner

Thanks to our prime location near The REP, The Crescent Theatre, and the Utilita Arena, Ju Ju’s has also become a favourite for pre-theatre dinners. Guests often tell us they love being able to enjoy a proper meal — something filling, wholesome, and comforting — before heading off to a show, concert, or comedy night just a short stroll away.

We’ve always taken pride in being part of Birmingham’s buzzing arts district. There’s something special about the mix of energy in our restaurant on performance nights: early evening buzz, excited theatre-goers, and plates of comforting classics setting everyone up for an unforgettable night out.

A Local Treasure on Broad Street and Brindley Place

We often hear visitors say, “I’ve walked past Ju Ju’s a hundred times and never realised what a gem it is.” Our tucked-away spot near the canal, just off Broad Street and moments from Brindley Place, is part of the restaurant’s charm — cosy, calm, and perfectly placed for locals and visitors alike.

The area around us is full of life: comedy clubs, theatres, live music, canal views, iconic Birmingham attractions, and bustling city nightlife. And right in the middle of it, Ju Ju’s offers a warm refuge with plates of food that feel like a hug.

Thank You, Birmingham

Winning the Travellers’ Choice Award 2025 for the fifth time is more than a badge — it’s a celebration of our community, our team, and everyone who has pulled up a chair at Ju Ju’s. Every review, every recommendation, and every plate that left you smiling is part of this achievement.

To Birmingham: thank you for supporting a small independent restaurant with big heart. We’ll keep serving the comfort food, brunch, Sunday roasts, and pre-theatre dinners you love — right here in our little home by Brindley Place.

Here’s to more memories, more meals, and many more years of Ju Ju’s — because with each award, we promise it just keeps getting better.
